I'm not sure about your family, but in our family, so many memories revolve around the table. Saturday and Sunday morning cartoons after a nice hearty breakfast, birthday dinners celebrating each year older we would get, family get-togethers, Sunday dinners... the memories are endless. That's exactly what we try to create at Dan'l Webster Inn. Our locals love to come visit. We've become their birthday dinner favorite spot. Our sports fans come and share a drink at our Tavern while watching their favorite team. We pride ourselves in our food, our service and our culinary staff. We hope you'll come in to find out why!
So many of you are either loyal visitors to our Inn or local friends that have breakfast, lunch or dinner with us regularly. There's a reason we get so many return guests. Outside of our luxurious historic setting, we get one consistent response from guests when staying with us concerning the food: "WOW!"
Our head chef at Dan'l Webster Inn is well connected in the culinary community. He likes to stay in the loop about what's trending in the culinary world and he also likes to work with what's fresh and in season. For this reason, our menu changes frequently. We know foodies love to try new dishes, especially with a chef like Steve Chausse and a pastry chef like Lydia Broderick in the kitchen! To kick off fall, we've introduced two new dishes to our guests (pictured above). Our smoked bluefish cake is a local house-smoked bluefish served with roasted sweet potatoes and buttery brioche bread, paired with Eastham white turnip bisque and red beet jam. Also pictured is our Grilled Veal Porterhouse. This all natural USDA choice milk-fed veal combines the tenderloin and NY Strip in one cut. It's served with a fresh corn griddle cake, carmelized brussel sprouts, blistered cranberries with fall fruit milk sauce and pomegranate honey. Are you ready to make your reservation yet?
We pride ourselves on service at Dan'l Webster Inn. Our service is one of our top priorities. We recognize that you have many dining options on Cape Cod and we're so grateful that our loyal guests and patrons continue to come back month after month, year after year.
From the way we greet you before dining to the way we approach your table to the way we deliver your food to the way we present your bill - all of that goes into making your experience with us a great one. Our staff undergoes training on a regular basis to ensure you leave talking about what a great experience you had dining with us. Our tavern staff and our conservatory staff work hard to ensure every time you visit, you leave happy (and full)! Our event staff also works hard to ensure our wedding receptions and corporate events go off without a hitch.
Steve Chausse is the Executive Chef at Dan'l Webster Inn. With formal education and training in both the culinary arts ~Johnson and Wales University and in the visual arts at University of Massachusetts, Steve Chausse's love for food and artistic expression are apparent in every dish he creates. “To me, food is art,” says Chausse. Steve has been with the Dan'l Webster Inn since 1997 and has been working in kitchens since he was 16 years of age.
A native of Sandwich, Lydia Broderick was born and raised in this quaint, beautiful Historic town. Lydia has been a team member at the Inn since 1996 and is now our in-house Pastry Chef. In her years at the Inn she has mastered all areas of the Inn’s kitchen from dishwasher to prep cook to line cook and is now the creativity behind the scenes of all that is “sweet”. Lydia’s current position comes from a love of food, cooking, and baking that started when she would spend quality time in the kitchen with her Grandmother. As a quote, “I remember making “mud” pies outside – now they are on the menu” ~ although quite different now ~ “who knew that would be the humble beginning”. Baking is a science; cooking is an art ~ Lydia has managed to become proficient in both and has brought her creations to the Inn’s exquisite, decadent and imaginative dessert menu.
We are so fortunate to have such talented staff with us at the Dan'l Webster Inn. We hope you'll come in and see for yourself.
